So I finally broke down and bought a new matress set last night (Queen size beauty rest WC Dalton)! It gets delivered tomorrow, which means I can finally stop sleeping in what is supposed to be the guest bedroom! I am actually very excited and haven't been sleeping well lately so maybe this will solve some of that! I know it's not as exciting as Andy getting a new Jeep but its the little things...right?

Also, I am happy that I dont have to travel this week and most of the Commercial team is in AZ. I can get a lot of things done with not having to attend meetings this week.

Hopefully I will see most of you on Thursday at Boc!

:)

Do we revert to Wednesday nights or stay put on Thursday nights. I have no real preference, but would like to see it settle back to one specific day (I like just knowing the BoCaNO is always on xday) Thoughts? Kate

New addition to top 3 bad dates

Well it happened I have a new entry into the top 3 worst dates of my life....

Quick summary of date ..30 minutes (though technically he was in the bathroom for 10) at Barnes & Nobles looking at books......

Yeah that is it in a nutshell, good thing I had to buy a book to read on the plane to Utah. No coffee, no drinks, nothing just wandered around B&N

So I am not sure where in the top three this belongs but it has to be up there with:

1. Arriving 8 minutes late and the guy was already eating
2. Going to Applebee's having to pay for myself (all he talked about was his dog, and he had the ford probe car with the fire fighter lights and big antennas) and then the guy keeps calling to ask if he could go to parties with me.

Dating is so entertaining.....

Only 9 more days of work including today until we leave
8. The 8 peaks at the canyons are better that the 8 at SR
7. The 7 chair lifts at Alta
6. I will miss 6 days of work!
5. The 5 friends I get to spend time with while we are there
4. Snow is in the Park City forecast for the next 4 days
3. The chance of meeting a cute single boy skier
2. Skiing in powder is much better than on frozen ice
1. I get to miss work! :)

Guess I should do some work or go to another meeting now :)

I cant do the Wednesday 16th or Thursday the 17th before the real (US) Thanksgiving.

For those wondering about 130 people are losing their jobs here and most have been told, my pick me strategy didnt work and I still have a job.

Anyways see you at Burren tonight after my mandatory 5:30 pm conference call. This comes after my 5 pm manadatory staff meeting yesterday (had to cancel my manicure and pedicure); not getting out of here until after 9pm last night and having to be here before 7am this morning. Luckily I have tomorrow off so I can prepare for the party.
Hi gang,

Anyone interested in venturing to Arlington Thursday evening for a Bocano/check-out-our-sorta-new-digs kind of thing? Brett is in Texas again so Chewy has volunteered to stand in as co-host.

I'm certainly not envisioning anything fancy... How about everyone brings something to drink and we can order pizza/mexican/thai from one of the many excellent cultural eateries in Arlington Center?

If everyone is up for it, I will update again with directions, etc. If not, I'll get over it... eventually.

P.S. I feel compelled to disclose that our TV works, but not super well, so if Thursday is an important game-watching night we might want to re-think. (Tweeter can't send someone until next week.) Cranium anyone?

P.P.S. Oh, and Chewy advises against wearing black pants... I'm sure Amy agrees.

Cheers!
Jennie

Hola Bocano!

This weekend is the fall festival at Sunday River, time to get psyched up for ski season again! Jen and I were talking about going up to attend some of the events (most importantly the Redhook Brewer's Festival) and maybe doing a hike in Grafton Notch or something. The annual wife carrying contest, the wine tasting and Entrain concert all take place on Saturday if you are considering a day trip.

Anyone interested?
So the only good thing that might come from Rita is the fact that I dont have to go to Texas anymore on Sunday. I am still leaving Palm Beach today to go to Atlanta and on Sunday I will fly to Boston getting back mid afternoon. Which will give me more time in my apartment to finish packing up the bedroom!

This has been a good week for work in Palm Beach with all the sales people. Watching the ocean as the storm came through was cool - to say the least. Everything is expensive here except our hotel rates but the service and food are excellent.

Tonight I am going to the Braves game with my cousin. What is the deal with the Red Sox?

I have a phone interview today with another local biotech company - it sounds like an interesting oppportunity that I want to explore.

So I will see you all Thursday if not ealier!

:)
